Director of Chamber Music and Cello Faculty at Manhattan School of Music, Artist/Faculty at Music Academy of the West

I have known Dr. Minyoung Kang for many years and throughout her evolution to date as a significant pianist and classical artist.  Dr. Kang exhibits the technical security of a soloist with a passion for chamber music collaborations; combined with her superb musical intelligence and rare warmth of heart, she is an ideal musician.

Violist of the Orion String Quartet, Viola Faculty of The Juilliard School, and Coordinator of String Chamber Music at the Curtis Institute of Music

Artistic playing and love of the music and the students. I will cherish the beautiful and inspiring support she has given to the violists. The music sings through her fingers in a way that teaches us all how deeply moving it can be.

Conductor, Cellist of Emerson String Quartet, and Professor of Cello at Yale School of Music

It has been my pleasure to work with Min Young Kang in my cello studio at the Yale School of Music. She is a pianist of quite exceptional sensitivity, possessing a beautiful sound and an unassailable technique. She is a highly skilled chamber musician, always aware of her collaborators and a truly supportive musical partner.
